We provide tailored solutions for remote operations, situational awareness systems, connectivity solutions and crypto services. Our product development covers all the phases from customer’s vision to productized solution, we are especially specialized in system-, SW, HW- and cyber security development. We have our own remote operations platform, providing a frame which enables various operations regardless of the location and application. We operate typically as a part of our customer’s projects or provide whole solutions on turnkey basis. Objectives and Goals
The main objective of the Remote Pilotage MVP project is to investigate, define, develop, and test a remote pilotage solution which can be industrialized globally within the next ten years. This includes defining protocols, interfaces and key elements to be used as a global standard, regardless of the suppliers.
Key goals of the project include defining the minimum viable solution, establishing shared situational awareness between the remote pilot and the vessel’s crew, ensuring the availability of necessary ship data for the remote pilot, developing solutions for the remote pilotage center, and testing and demonstrating the minimum viable solution.
Research
Brighthouse Intelligence is responsible for further studies in the areas of data transfer and cyber security. Specifically, we will study the E2E connectivity and cyber security solutions from the vessel through cloud services to the remote pilotage center, define and test connectivity quality parameters and the visualization for the pilot, and explore options for retrofitting and supporting legacy vessels to enable remote pilotage service.
