Visions of Remote Pilotage as seen in the MVP project
Remote piloting offers the same service quality as traditional piloting, adhering to the same legal frameworks. In remote piloting, the pilot acts as an advisor to the ship’s captain and a local expert from an onshore location. We propose that remote piloting can be provided with at least the same level of safety as traditional piloting, given that the following conditions are met.
