Finnpilot is responsible for the Concept of Operations (ConOps) of Remote Pilotage Service, defining the Remote Pilotage Services (RPS) and Minimum Viable Product (MVP). Besides the the purely technological aspect, the participation of Finnpilot is crucial, as Finnpilot, can be considered as a forerunner in developing Remote Pilotage Services. As a member of Forum, International Maritime Pilot Association, Finnpilot can contribute to the need, that the solution developed here reaches an internationally accepted level, and the solution will be implemented globally. Finnpilot also has several other concrete actions and plans to develop work in RPS services. In addition to the forthcoming (EU funded) Nelsson 2023 project, Finnpilot is cooperating with several ongoing national projects in Sweden and Canada. Australia is also showing increasing interest in the topic. Representatives of Finnpilot will give a presentation on the subject at a conference and workshop organized in Perth at the end of the year.
