Novia University of Applied Sciences supports the project as a coordinator, and research partner, designing the Remote Pilotage Service (RPS) and providing research on shared situational awareness between the remote pilot and a vessel ́s crew, ways to support identifying the risks caused by other traffic, and new ways to visualize ship movement data. Novia will coordinate the system definition work in the work packages of 1 and 2, where Concept of Operations and system requirements for the Remote Pilotage MVP solution will be created. In addition, Novia will conduct the hazard identification (HAZID1) analysis in the WP1. Novia also supports the partners in the testing and demonstration activities and gathers information on the needs for the future research and development work. The research team of Novia consists of maritime, simulation, and modeling professionals.
